I'm Running the London Marathon... and Your First Month Is Going to Charity

On April 26th, I'll be running the London Marathon for The Brain Tumour Charity. If you've seen my LinkedIn recently, you'll know the full story, but the short version is that this cause is deeply personal to me, and I want to make sure something meaningful comes out of 26.2 miles of pain.

I'm not great at asking people for money. I set the fundraiser up weeks before I could bring myself to actually tell anyone about it. So instead of just asking for donations, I wanted to put something material on the table.

The Offer

Any new client who signs up with Test Valley Digital before race day (April 26th) will have their entire first month's fees donated to The Brain Tumour Charity on their behalf.

Our fully-managed website packages start from £99/mo and include custom-coded development, hosting, unlimited edits and support - no page builders, no templates, no nonsense. Just a properly built website that you don't have to think about.

I've already got a couple of Starter clients in the pipeline, which means there's a few hundred quid I'm on track to donating before I've even laced up my trainers.

Why The Brain Tumour Charity?

My Grandad, Brian, was taken by a brain tumour a little over a decade ago. He was my first experience of loss. A man who represented everything about being a good man and loved his family endlessly. The Brain Tumour Charity provided real support and dignity during my grandparents' most difficult days, and I want to give something back.

How You Can Help

There are a few ways to support this:

  • Need a website? Sign up before April 26th and your first month goes straight to the charity. Get in touch at hello@testvalleydigital.co.uk or through the site.
  • Donate directly via my JustGiving page.
  • Share this post — that costs nothing and goes a long way.

I'll be posting updates as race day gets closer. If you want the emotional backstory, the full version is on my LinkedIn.

Life's too short to sit still. So I'm not going to.

See you at the finish line.
